Florida to Fine Schools $5K If They Ask for Proof of Vaccination
“Governor DeSantis is making decisions based on empirical evidence, upholding the rule of law, and protecting all Floridians’ individual rights,” said the governor’s press secretary, Christina Pushaw. “Defending individual rights from unjustified overreach, whether by government or business, is a legitimate use of state executive power.”
This bill was signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis this year and will go into effect on Sept 16, 2021.
The law states that fines can be appealed but once an amount is decided it is to be paid in 30 days.
